Fiery Arrow 2: Distraction

Another regular fiery arrow of the enemy we must master to succeed is distraction. The enemy deploy this arrow often because they know that distraction is one of the easiest way to make a person loose focus of his or her goal.

Everyone of us is so much blessed of God that if we all maintain focus on our core assignment, purpose or vision, we will a succeed. Unfortunately, distraction has robbed many great destinies of their potential because it hinders people from focusing on what’s most important thereby leading to loss of time, energy, and resources. THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST BATTLE OF OUR TIME TODAY

Distraction make us appear unstable before God because today you’re here, and tomorrow you’re there. And when you’re unstable, God can’t commit much into your hands (James 1:6-8). It also make us susceptible to confusion. Once a person is easily distracted, such can easily be confused.

For instance, even though being made a king was a noble achievement, yet for Jesus it was a distraction which would rob him of his purpose on earth. So, when he realized the people were planning to crown him king, he ran away (John 6:15).

Think deeply and look into your life, your business, your career, your finances, your ministry, etc, can you identify anything which you know if it wasn’t there, you most likely would be ahead by now? It could be a thing, a person, a title, a so-called achievement or blessing, etc. If there is anything as such, then that’s a distraction.

To overcome distraction consistently, you must first clarify your goal or vision. From that point onward, start watching out for anything at all that can or that is already taking away your focus from that goal. No matter how important, necessary, good, or promising that thing may appear, once you realize it is or you perceive it will take away your focus, believe me it is a distraction from hell. Quickly stop it before it stops you.

You will not fail in Jesus name!
