Everyday, we come in contact with many voices which unconsciously influences our actions, thoughts, imaginations and decisions. Many things like economic situation, individual circumstances, challenges, etc, all have their own voices and they seek to influence us directly or indirectly.
For instance, you probably won’t think of doing some jobs if you didn’t have some challenges, neither will you think of relocation to seek greener pasture elsewhere if the economy of your country is fine, nor will you think of putting your child in some school or eating some food if you had more money. The point is, circumstances, challenges, and many other things speaks and their voices tends to influence our decision in some ways.
However, one way to make the right decision and to prevent being led by circumstances and those other voices is to be close to God via His word. God also speaks, mostly through His word and sometimes through His spirit. Each time you carry God’s word to read, your spirit man and your soul are impacted by the voice of God. The more you do this, the more it become easier for you to hear and detect God’s voice even in the midst of your challenges and circumstances.
Romans 12:2 NKJV says
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Circumstances may show you good and acceptable options, but only the voice of God can show you the perfect option. Good options may take care of present needs, but perfect option will meet both present and future needs. Good options may solve your physical challenges, but perfect option which God present will consider the impact on your spirit, soul and body.
Therefore, get close to God’s word and you will escape being led by circumstances and other voices that’s not of God.
