Ask for Mercy

While grace turns our weaknesses to strength, mercy covers for our shortcomings, mistakes, sins and errors. There are no perfect men/women anywhere. Rather, there are men/women whom mercy has made their lives seems like they’re sinless and error-free.

Psalms 32:12 NKJV

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit.

When mercy speaks, your transgressions, sin and inequity are all forgiven even before you ask. Mercy doesn’t mean the absence of rebuke, correction and discipline. But in the midst of the rebuke, the correction and the discipline God’s presence and love will still remain with you. This was exactly what king Solomon enjoyed.

II Samuel 7:1415 NKJV

I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men. But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you.

What made the tax collector to be justified above the Pharisee in Luke 18:10-14 is Mercy. Even through the Pharisee seems to  have more good works than the tax collector, but because the tax collector asked for mercy, he was justified above the Pharisee.

So, whether you think you’re perfect or not,  just ask God to show you mercy; whether you think you have done much for God or not, still ask for Mercy; whether you think you’re a saint or a sinner, you still need mercy and when it speaks, your life will never remain the same again!
