Does the Holy Spirit bear witness with your spirit that you’re born again?

Salvation is not to be assumed, it is to be ascertained. Going to church is not a proof that you’re born again because even Satan also found his way to present himself amongst God’s people (Job 1:6); Judas Iscariot was called to be an Apostle of Christ and yet he was a devil (John 6:70), so being a preacher is not a proof that you’re born again; being morally good or faultless and doing good works does not also make you a born again Christian – The young rich ruler was blameless (Mathew 19:16-20), still he couldn’t follow Jesus (Mathew 19:21-24). Being morally blameless may get you into life (Mathew 19:17 NKJV), but it is genuine salvation through Christ Jesus that will get you into God’s kingdom (Mathew 19:21). And until your salvation is validated by the Holy Spirit, you’re not yet born again!

Romans 8:16 AMP says 

The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God.

If you claim to be born again but don’t know how to hear from the Holy Spirit, then my question is “how are you sure you’re born again?”. Scripture says the Spirit bear witness with our spirit that we are children of God (Romans 8:16). So, which spirit is bearing witness with your spirit that you’re born again? Or are you confusing being morally good, or going to church, or doing good works as born again?

It is the Holy Spirit that validates God’s words. So, even if you confess and believe that Jesus is Lord as the scripture says, until these acts are validated by the Holy Spirit in your heart by bearing witness with your spirit, your salvation is not confirmed. This has nothing to do with your emotions. But if your salvation is genuine, the Holy Spirit will validate it in your heart through your spirit.

If you don’t know how to hear from the Holy Spirit through the scriptures and through your inner witness (your spirit), your salvation is in doubt. If you claim to be born again and yet neither the scripture nor the Holy Spirit could be used to talk to you, my dear, please re-dedicate or give your life to Christ because you’re not born again. Please check yourself and make sure you get this sorted out today because tomorrow may be too late.
