Some challenges are inevitable, yet there is no justifiable reasons to allow any challenges cause you to loose your salvation because when that challenges are over, what you’ve lost, even if it can still be regained, may come at higher cost.
Esau, because of hunger, lost his birthright. When the hunger left, he sought that birthright with tears but it was too late (Hebrews 12:16-17); Judas Iscariot because of money lost his salvation, lost his place among the twelve disciples and lost his throne in heaven. After he realized what he’s done, it was too late.
Challenges may come in form of hunger, poverty or lack, sickness, etc. It may be marital challenges, career challenges, academic challenge etc. Whatever challenge you’re facing, please don’t let it take away your salvation, don’t let it push you to do what’s against your conscience, don’t let it push you to do what you will regret tomorrow. That challenge is a phase and it will pass. But what will count after the challenge is over is if you’re standing or not.
James 5:13 NLT says
Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray…
James 5:13 GNT says
Are any among you in trouble? They should pray…
The scriptural recommendation for anyone suffering hardship or in trouble is to pray. So, instead of loosing your salvation and allowing challenges to overcome you, please find time to pray and pour your hearts to God. Ask for His help and believe me He doesn’t show up late. He will help you and you will surmount that mountain in Jesus name.
