DON’T ONLY SEE OR ENTER INTO THE PROMISED LAND, POSSESS IT

God didn’t just want you to enter or see the promised land, He wants you to possess it. In Numbers 13:1-2,21,25,27 at God’s commands some leaders amongst the Israelites were sent to go search the promised land. That means at least the leaders among them saw the land, they entered and even examined it. But ultimately they didn’t posses it (Num 14:28-30). Also, Moses, the man of God only saw the land (Num 27:12) but he didn’t enter likewise (Num 20:12).

REASONS THE FIRST SETS OF ISRAELITES AND MOSES DIDN’T ENTER INTO THE PROMISED LAND

1. The Israelites couldn’t enter because of fear (Num 13:29-33). They saw it as fear but it was counted as unbelief by God (Num 14:11,22).
2. Moses struck the rock twice because he was angry with the Israelites. Humanly speaking he struck the rock twice because of anger but to God it was counted as unbelief.

Therefore, unbelief is the major reason some Israelites only entered but could not possess the land. It was also the major reason Moses only saw the land but couldn’t enter into it. But this was not God’s will. He wanted them all to see, enter and possess the land.

Therefore, in your quest to possessing your promised land, beware of unbelief. There are instructions that God will give you along the way that may seems stupid and non-popular. All He demands from you is to simply obey and do whatever He says and how He says should be done.

I pray that you and I will not fall short of God’s expectations on our lives in Jesus name. Therefore, always remember this, God does not just want you to see or enter the land, He wants you to possess it.
