We live in a world where most persons try to excuse themselves or others from the truth, and as a result many have been led astray.
For instance, the scripture clearly state in Ephesians chapter 5 verse 3 to 6 the things that can hinder one from inheriting God’s kingdom. But most of these things are what you find most persons doing these days without any sense of remorse or fear of God.
Ephesians 5:3–6 NLT says
Let there be no SEXUAL IMMORALITY, IMPURITY, or GREED among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. OBSCENE STORIES, FOOLISH TALK, and COARSE JOKES—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. DON’T BE FOOLED BY THOSE WHO TRY TO EXCUSE THESE SINS, FOR THE ANGER OF GOD WILL FALL ON ALL WHO DISOBEY HIM.
The Bible is clear that God’s anger will come upon those who engage in sexual immorality, impurities, greed, foolish talk, course jokes, etc. I therefore wonder when some persons are thinking of when they say it doesn’t matter. Obviously it does truly matter to God and to your own salvation.
Therefore, like the scripture says, don’t let anyone fool you by trying to excuse these sins, and neither should you fool yourself. If you’ve been engaging in any of the above sins, ask God for forgiveness and cease from doing them. May you not with your hands draw God’s anger upon yourself in Jesus name.
