One of the way the enemy can keep someone in cycle is to steal, kill, destroy or scatter what is gathered. This is the primary goal of the enemy but it should be your goal and my goal to stop him from achieving his goal in our lives.
John 10:10 NKJV
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Sustaining salvation takes a whole lots of sacrifices, efforts, endurance, patience, commitment, focus, determination, etc. When we Imagine the things we have to go through to get this far in our walk with God, then we would realize that it is unwise to allow the enemy to take away our crown and rubbish our efforts. This is why scripture says…
II John 1:8 NKJV
Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.
In the same way, remember what you went through to have a home – from courtship to wedding and then to having kid(s). Imagine the labor that went into all of that, would you now allow the enemy to take your home away? No! You’ve labored enough for that marriage, don’t allow the enemy take it away.
The bottom line is that whatever you’ve labored for – be it resources, position, reputation, a brand, a mindset, a career, etc, guard it will everything possible to make sure you don’t loose it. It’s not easy to build, but it’s very easy to destroy. And that is exactly what the devil comes to do – to steal, kill and destroy. But he won’t get you in Jesus name, amen!
