Some persons hardly ask God genuine questions or hardly discuss their opinions with Him. Probably because they felt it’s wrong or it’s a sin. But if you study your Bible, you’ll see that God gives room for us His children to ask Him genuine questions and to express our doubt, fear and opinion to Him.
For instance, when God instructed Samuel to go and anoint another king in the house of Jesse, Samuel retorted because he feared Saul could kill him. God didn’t ignore Samuel’s opinion, instead God gave Samuel the wisdom of what to say when he got there (1 Samuel 16:1-3); When God instructed Moses to go and Deliver the Isrealites, God’s initial plan was not to make Aaron to speak for Moses but because God saw that Moses was complaining and afraid, God had to bring in Aaron (Exodus 3:1-19, 4:1-17).
Isaiah 1:18 NKJV says
“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, …
Can you now see how relational and understanding our God is. If He gives you an instruction and you think there’s a better way, you are free to tell Him. If your suggestions is what your faith carries and it is still in line with His will, God will permit you. That’s to show you how relational and understanding our God is.
So, instead of murmuring with God’s instructions, discuss it with Him. Let Him understand your fear, doubt and what you think. As long as you do with a humble heart, He will address your fear, clear your doubt and let you know if your opinion will work or not.
