God’s will and purpose for us is not to suffer or be enslaved. In facts, it may surprise you to know that God feels our pain more than we do because He loves us more than we do ourselves. Imagine the love that a mother have for her child. When that child goes through a pain, the mother also feels the pain even though she isn’t the one directly going through the pain. The love she has for her child makes her go through the pain too. The same goes for the father. If our parent’s love could be this strong, how much more the love of God.
Leviticus 26:13 NLT
I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt so you would no longer be their slaves. I broke the yoke of slavery from your neck so you can walk with your heads held high.
If God could go that length to save the Israelites from slavery, that demonstrate how far He can go to save all His children, including you and I from slavery. God want us to be completely free from spiritual, career, financial, mental, societal, academics, and all forms of slavery.
However, despite God’s desire to see us free slavery, He can’t help us if we choose to walk into slavery. Whenever we disobey God’s commands and instructions, we choose to walk into slavery. Despite a mother’s love, if the child is disobedience, the mother can’t help him much.
Leviticus 26:14–16 NLT
“However, if you do not listen to me or obey all these commands, and if you break my covenant by rejecting my decrees, treating my regulations with contempt, and refusing to obey my commands, I will punish you. I will bring sudden terrors upon you—wasting diseases and burning fevers that will cause your eyes to fail and your life to ebb away. You will plant your crops in vain because your enemies will eat them.
Disobedience is a grave sin which leads to slavery and bondage. So, the only way to enjoy spiritual, financial, career, and all round freedom is to obey God’s commands and instructions no matter the cost. You won’t be enslaved in Jesus name.
And if you have been enslaved in any area of your life as a result of disobedience, as you turn to obey God’s instruction, the bondage of slavery shall be taken away and you will enjoy freedom all round in Jesus name.
