There are levels of blessings that you shouldn’t pray for now because it will destroy you. At your present state, even if someone promise you such level of blessing, gifts or promotion now, it will be in your best interest to decline.
What is takes to attain a level is far lower than what it takes to sustain it. So, it is better, safer and more beneficial not to attain a level than to fall down from that level. This is one of the reasons why most persons stay too long at a level.
For instance, it is better not to marry, than to marry and not enjoy the marriage or end in divorce. Even though you get healed from the wound of the divorce, the scar is always there. It is therefore better to know what marriage entails and be fully ready to commit to it before entering into it.
Also, It is better not to attain some position than to be demoted from that position because that fall may affect your chance of attaining that position again forever, it may even affect other related offer from reaching you. Again, It is better not to enter into Ministry, than to enter and not give it the necessary attention. Even Jesus said it is better to count the cost before you begin.
Luke 14:27-30 NLT
And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple. “But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?
Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money, and then everyone would laugh at you. They would say, ‘There’s the person who started that building and couldn’t afford to finish it!’
So, while it is good to pray for promotion and blessings, also pray for the wisdom, power and capacity to sustain that blessing. You will not fail in Jesus name, amen!
