It is a good thing to be able to cast out strangers from our life or marriage. But it is better to learn to keep them permanently out.
Spirits don’t die, that is why there is a tendency to experience their presence again on certain matter after a time especially when given the chance. Just like it takes continuous efforts to keep rat out of your house, It also takes continuous efforts to keep the enemy out of your marriage.
Matthew 12:43-45 NLT
[43] “When an evil spirit leaves a person, it goes into the desert, seeking rest but finding none. [44] Then it says, ‘I will return to the person I came from.’ So it returns and finds its former home empty, swept, and in order. [45] Then the spirit finds seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all enter the person and live there. And so that person is worse off than before. That will be the experience of this evil generation.”
The scripture above made us see that it is important to keep necessary areas of our life, home and marriage occupied with God’s presence so that strangers won’t have a room to take over. Don’t allow whatever contradicts God’s presence in your home so you don’t open the door for strangers.
This is why you can’t say you’re tired of praying for your home. You have to continuing and through personal or family devotions, atmosphere of peace and love, you can keep the strangers out. Your marriage shall be preserved in Jesus name, amen!
