Everyone of us is endowed with a grace or gift (Romans 12:6), but not everyone’s grace can work in isolation. The ability to recognize people whom your graces complement is a key factor to success.
There are graces and gifts that complements. In other words, there are people whose presence or partnership you need for your business, career, Ministry, or projects to succeed beyond your imagination, and vise versa. You both may bring different graces, but they have to complement each other.
For instance, in Acts 13:1-3, the Holy Spirit commissioned Barnabas and Saul (Paul) for His work and both of them were doing great works together.
Acts 13:2 NKJV says
As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
But in Acts 15:39, Paul and Barnabas got separated because of their contention over Mark.
Acts 15:39–40 NKJV says
[39] Then the contention became so sharp that they parted from one another. And so Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus; [40] but Paul chose Silas and departed, being commended by the brethren to the grace of God.
And from that point forward, we only heard little of Barnabas and Mark. Although Barnabas and Mark didn’t backslide, but it appeared their graces didn’t really complement each other because we didn’t hear much from them afterwards. But we kept seeing the impacts of Paul and Silas Ministry grew. So, in a way, it appeared as though the grace over Paul was the one catalyzing that of Barnabas more.
Also look at our present time, there are some music artists who started together in group but at a point got separated. After their separation, we only heard of one or two amongst them that kept on shinning while the rest just kept struggling in their music career until they faded away.
In your business, career, Ministry or calling, pray that you Identify people whom your grace complement one another, those whom you need to succeed beyond your efforts and those who also need you. And when you do, please keep them!
