Things go wrong either in a family, an organization or a country when the leaders are blind or deaf to the purpose or acts of God for that family, the organization or country. Unfortunately, God is not a respecter of persons, if a leader remains deaf or blind to God’s purpose, God can bypass such leader and use even the smallest person of that family or organization that is reachable.
That was the case the Annas and Caiaphas who were high priests in the days when two great prophets, John the Baptist and Jesus Christ, were raised in Israel, but Annas and Caiaphas didn’t know about it. The people who didn’t even hold any priesthood offices such as Simeon and Anna were able to discern the purposes of God in the live of Christ (Luke 2:25-38), but Annas and Caiaphas the high priests saw and heard nothing because they were merely religious not spiritual. As a result they walked against the purposes they were supposed to defend – they spearheaded the death of their Messiah.
Isaiah 42:18–20 NKJV says
[18] “Hear, you deaf; And look, you blind, that you may see. [19] Who is blind but My servant, Or deaf as My messenger whom I send? Who is blind as he who is perfect, And blind as the Lord’s servant? [20] Seeing many things, but you do not observe; Opening the ears, but he does not hear.”
As parent(s) can you tell what God is doing in your family or in the lives of your children especially those still under your roof? Failure in these areas is the reason why many parents have ignorantly fought against God’s purpose in the lives of their Children, leading them in the wrong path. As a leader in an organization, in a Ministry and in your country, are you not deaf or blind to God’s purpose in that areas where you’re called to lead?
God is the same yesterday, today and forever. And so, if you as a leader is blind or deaf to His purpose, He will bypass you to speak to the smallest person in your unit if He has to do so. If you don’t want this to happen to you, then pray that your eyes and ears be open to understand God’s purpose for the people or place where you’ve been called to lead.
