O Lord, restore my lost glory (part 1)

Everyone of us was born with a glory. Am sure of this because when God created man in the beginning, He created him in His likeness and confer authority and dominion upon man to rule over other creature on earth (Genesis 1:26-28). So, you’re born to rule, reign, dominate on earth.

But just as glory can be given, it can also be lost and one of the ways through which glory can be lost is through SIN and DISOBEDIENCE. This explains why many persons struggle today. And this may also be the reason for your own struggle too. Could it also be the reason you’re also struggling?

For instance, when Adam sinned against God in the garden of Eden, what left Adam  was God’s glory. Though he was still breathing, but absence of God’s glory upon his life made God considered him as dead, and as a result, the following happened to him;

1. They became naked (Genesis 3:7).
2. Their sorrows were multiplied (Genesis 3:16).
3. They began to struggle to eat (Genesis 3:17-18).
4. He died spiritually and also became subject to physical death (Genesis 3:19).
5. He began to live in fear and uncertainty (Genesis 3:10)

Another examples are the Israelites who lost their glory (God) and went into captivity as a result of sin & disobedience (1 Samuel 4:21). Also, Samson lost his glory because of disobedience and became blinded, mocked, and controlled by the same enemies he used to conquer (Read Judges 13 to 16). All these are what happens in the life of anyone whose glory is lost or taken.

GLORY CAN BE RESTORED

The good news is, if glory can be stolen, then glory can be restored. This was what our Lord Jesus Christ did when he was leaving the earth, He came to restore God’s glory upon man (John 17:22; Romans 8:30). This therefore means we can shine again, rule again, and dominate again. Hallelujah!

But manifesting this glory requires that we pray (2Chronicles 7:14). No matter the sin you might have committed which has led to the lost of your glory, making you to live in fear, in lack and wants, in sickness and diseases, in failures and defeats, in struggle and shame, if you’re willing to turn again to God in repentance and pray, God will restore your glory to the fullest (Jeremiah 29:11-14).

Therefore, join us tomorrow morning as we pray to God to restore our lost glory. Hallelujah!
