If obedience was a gift, then our Lord Jesus Christ would’ve had it because He was filled with the Spirit without measure (John 3:34). But because obedience it’s not a gift, even our Lord Jesus Christ had to learn it (Hebrews 5:8). This explains why some persons are more connected, or more honored, or more blessed of God than others. Not because God is partial, neither is it because those people are better, it’s simply their level of obedience.
This is why you mustn’t let anyone fool you into thinking every Christian carries the same grace. Of course, the same Grace is available to all, and Jesus paid the same price for us all that give us all access to God and to the inheritance in Christ. However, through years of obedience to God, some persons have maximized their access and inheritance in Christ to the point that when they speak, their record of obedience, allegiance and sacrifice become one of the reason which compel God to answer them speedily.
For instance, we all know that all Israelites are God’s people, but why would Moses command the earth to swallow some Israelites and God harkened if they were all carrying the same grace (Numbers 16:20-35)? Also, all the Apostles of Christ were all called and empowered with grace, but how come the grace of Apostle Paul spoke louder than others despite not being part of the 12 apostles (1Corintians 15:10)? It’s not a function of title but of obedience, allegiance and sacrifice. Let me ask you a question, what’s your obedience level? How many things has God instructed you that you’ve violated? What sacrifice can you lay claim on as the reason for God to answer you speedily?
Until you begin to walk in obedience, there are some level of victories you may not see. And like I said, obedience is not a gift, you have to learn it and grow in it. Likewise, Grace doesn’t take away the need for obedience. Just as obedience was needed in the old testament, it’s equally required in the new testament if you want to see God do the miraculous in your life. I hope you understand this and take it seriously.
