Have you ever wondered why God seldom make men to jump necessary process?, It is because He wants you and whatever blessing He is giving you to last. He knows that in the process of growth, we develop stamina, strength and character needed to sustain and grow success. But a blessing not acquired via the right growth process rarely stand the test of time.
Exodus 13:17 NLT
When Pharaoh finally let the people go, God did not lead them along the main road that runs through Philistine territory, even though that was the shortest route to the Promised Land. God said, “If the people are faced with a battle, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.”
As seen from the scripture above, God knew the shortest route that would lead the Israelites to the promises land. But He took them through the long route where they won’t be able to turn back when they see war because He doesn’t want them to return to bondage. He wanted them to last.
May be the reason why God is taking you through some life training bow is because He wants you to last. Without facing the lion and the bear, David may not have had the courage to face Goliath. So, may be God allow that challenges to come now so as to prepare you for the glory ahead.
This is why it is important for us, as believers, to develop the habit of first enquiring from God the reason for some delay or challenges in our lives.
