One of the characteristics of our adversary, the Devil and his agents is that they don’t give up easily. Because you defeated them yesterday doesn’t mean they won’t defeat you tomorrow if you don’t keep your guard. So, the only way to keep defeating them is to remain tenacious too.
Someone said, a stubborn situation needs stubborn approach. Satan is not a gentle opposition therefore you can’t win Him by being gentle. To retain victory at all time, you must be spiritually violent and refuse to take spiritual nonsense (Mathew 11:12). When Jesus defeated Satan three times in the wilderness, the scripture said the Devil left Him for a moment, waiting for another opportunity to strike.
Luke 4:13 NKJV says
Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.
Discouragement, weariness, lack & wants, needs, lies, etc are all parts of the strategies of the enemies to win the battle, don’t fall for it. Be consistent in resisting Satan over your family and children, over your ministry and career, over your spouse, over your body and over your finances. And don’t think doing it once will do, resist Him over and again (1 Peter 5:8-9).
It is unfortunate that some persons looses the battles against the enemy at the beginning, while some at the end. My prayer for you is that the last time you lost against the Devil will remain the last time. From now on, you will keep winning. But for this to happen, you must be consistence and steadfast in resisting him.
