WHY PROPHECIES ARE NOT FULFILLED IN SOME PERSONS LIVES

God does not lie and His words don’t fail. When you receive a word from God whether through the scriptures, or by inner witness, or by vision, or by prophecy through other persons, that shows the intention of God towards you.

But to see prophecy fulfil, you must follow it through till it’s accomplished. That is, anytime you receive a word of prophecy whether from God directly or through other vessels, you must set your heart on it to know if there’s anything you need to do to see it fulfilled. This is because, oftentimes prophecy only show us the end result. But between where we are a where the prophetic words is taking us, further actions may be required of us. INSENSITIVITY TO THE REQUIRED ACTIONS IS WHY PROPHECIES DON’T HAPPEN IN SOME PERSONS LIVES.

For instance, God appeared to Moses and told him he’s ready to take the children of Israel from the land of bondage (Egypt) to a good and large land flowing with milk and honey (Exo 3:8).

Exodus 3:8 NKJV
So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.

That was a prophetic word, a promise from God to the children of Israel. Here, God first told Moses the end point, where He’s taking them to. But between the moment that God spoke to Moses to the points where the children of Israel got to their promised land, there were many instructions they had to follow. For instance:

  • Moses needed to leave where he was (Midian) and go to Egypt, first to share the good news with his people and second to speak to Pharaoh.
  • Moses had to listen to God to perform all the signs and wonders performed in the land of Egypt.
  • Even after they had left Egypt and were on their way to the promised land, Moses needed to still go back to God for instruction on how to part the red sea.
  • After crossing the red sea, they needed further instructions on how to win many battles on their way, bring down the wall of Jericho and the likes.

Remember, all these instructions were for a single purpose – to get them to the promised land, thereby fulfilling the prophecy.

Therefore, whenever you receive a word of prophecy either directly from God or through a vessel of God concerning your life, business, career, family, marriage, children, ministry, etc., and you believe it, DON’T JUST FOLD YOUR HANDS THINKING THAT’S ALL. INSTEAD, YOU’RE TO KEEP SEEKING GOD’S FACE FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT TO DO FOR THE PROPHECY TO COME TO PASS. UNTIL THE PROPHECY COMES THROUGH, DON’T RELAX.

I Timothy 1:18 NKJV says:
This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare,

Isaiah 62:6‭-‬7 NKJV also says:
I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

As seen from the above two scriptures that you have to wage a good warfare to see prophecies fulfilled. Also you have to give God no rest until that prophecy come to pass. As you make this part of you, no prophecy will go unfulfilled in your life anymore.
